Anderson City Council incumbent Phil Burnett's suggestion for balancing the city's budget - by firing the city manager - is drawing some sharp criticism from his election opponents.
Burnett, a councilor for seven years, said Friday that he knows it's "a wild idea" to suggest the council consider eliminating City Manager Scott Morgan's job to save about $150,000 a year. Full story »
