Lassen smoke from a prescribed fire

Smoke rising from woods east of Redding near Lassen Peak is from a controlled burn.

The fire is being managed by Lassen Park Volcanic National Park workers at the park, said Justin Smith, a spokesman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

He did not have details on the fire’s size.
