This was just up the street from my home. Fire crews were on the fire quickly and the helicopter with the water bucket attached was also called in. It is 2:06 right now and all vehicles have left the scene except the bulldozer and the helicopter and spotter plane are still flying overhead. Thank you, fire crews for the quick response. In this wind, that could have been nasty.

Is this Spring Gulch in HV, off Saddle Trail or Spring Gulch in Anderson off 273?

We are on Spring Gulch off 273 in Anderson, and according to the Sheriff Department the fire was right at the end of this Spring Gulch Road. We had 5 or 6 trucks and a bulldozer go hauling buns up the road. Some of the trucks were marked with Happy Valley and West Valley departments. I imagine it originated in between the 2 Spring Gulch Roads in the hundred or so feet that they don't join each other. Also, the helicopter was picking up water off Anna Street in the creek over there.

The Spring Gulch in Happy Valley at the end of Saddle Trail does not come close to the Spring Gulch off of 273 near Anderson. Two different areas completely. The one in Happy Valley is actually Spring Gulch Dr. Just a short little dirt road at the end of Saddle Trail. I dont know why the RS says that the other Spring Gulch is IN Happy Valley.

This was a tough one to access. It was spotted by one of the lookout towers who gave an approximate location. Air attack and tanker got there first, and put down retardant to hold it in check, and guided in the ground troops. Cause was a cigarette, and the one who started it was cited.
Certainly could have been much worse given the current weather conditions.

Finally, someone got cited for being stupid.
