Closed for the Fourth

Here’s a list of what’s open and closed Friday, the Fourth of July.
• Government: State, federal, county and city offices closed.
• Mail: No mail delivery.
• Schools: Closed.
• Trash: Routes one day late.
• RABA: Buses not running.
• Commerce: Banks closed, most retail stores open.
• Theaters: Open.
• Newspaper: The Record Searchlight will be closed. Newspapers should be delivered by 7 a.m. The Circulation Department will answer phones from 7 to 10 a.m. Call 246-3441 or 1-800-666-2772 outside Redding.

These holiday closures, and the money and productivity being lost, are George Bush's fault.
He has had eight long years to get rid of holidays (except of course, Christ-mas) and the waste of time-off they entail. Schools closed, my butt! Those lazy teachers should be working like the rest of us! Same with the postal Government employees, county employees and so on!
If I have to show up and flip burgers and serve fries, so should everyone! Try working for the private sector and see what it's like, Georgie!

Don't blame George Bush because you haven't made more of you life. Flipping burgers is a job, yes. But don't blame the rest of the world because that's the best you can do.

I would LOVE to take a trip to Africa, Iraq or Iran... France, Italy or Germany for that matter. Problem is, I don't have the money to go.
That is George Bush's fault as well.
So, in effect, George is twisting my arm and forcing me to stay here because of his policies. Bummer for you.

Not only are the holiday closures Bush's fault so is the fact you have to flip burgers while others sit and loaf. George just does not get it, we need socialized fast food, imagine if you will a country where any man can flip burgers, a nation where the phrase "Do you want fries with that" can be uttered by even the most educated republicans. Some people just do not get it, I love your humor and look forward to your posts

I do not really "flip burgers" by the way.
Except on the 4th. Or some other summer days. For my family and friends. Even then it is usually steaks, but you get the point.
