"Marty the Lonely Martian," by Aaron Fisher of Redding

Once upon a time there was a lonely little Martian named Marty. Why he was so lonely was he didn't have a friend. He had decided that he would take a trip in his little spaceship. He would set out in search of a brand new friend. Marty was flying through space when he saw a beautiful multi-colored planet. It was Earth! He said "Surely this big beautiful planet must have a nice friend for me!" So, he headed for Earth.

When Marty touched down on earth, he was very cold! He had landed in the Antarctic. The first creature he saw was a cute black and white penguin. "He could be my friend." He found that it was to cold to stay and visit. So, Marty climbed back into his spaceship and set out again.

As he was flying he looked down and saw a beautiful green place. Marty said to himself "It's so green down there, there has to be a friend there for me." Well, what Marty saw was a dark green jungle. As he landed, he did find someone he could play with. It was a funny brown monkey. The monkey climbed a tree and swung from branch to branch. Marty couldn't do all of these things, so he got back into his spaceship and began his search again.

Marty left the jungle and came flying over a desert. When he looked down, he could see a great big cloud of dust moving across the desert. It was a Road Runner. He said "I would love to be friends with the road runner, but I can't keep up with him." So Marty headed back up into the sky, to search some more.

Finally he came across a giant castle.

He was so busy looking at the giant castle, that he crashed right in front of it. He had crashed into Disneyland. He knew he had found many friends because the sign in Disneyland said, "Disneyland, The Happiest Place on Earth," and sure enough he found more friends than he could ever imagine.

"Anna the Air Fairy" by Sabrina Ott of Redding

Ella and her best friend, Rose, were staying at Vacation Island. The two friends have a secret. They were friends with fairies and help when the gnomes caused trouble in Fairyworld. Ella was telling Rose about her dream. "I was in Fairyworld."

Suddenly, a magical wind swirled around them.

One minute later, they were standing in front of the Fairy Queen. They were as small as fairies and had wings.

The queen said, "Anna the Air Fairy will help you with your next mission. You have to find a statue. The gnomes took it to the human world. We need it back."

Rose said, "How will we know that we found the right one?"

"It will come to live out of Fairyworld and it has jeweled eyes," the queen said.

"Bye!" said Rose and Ella as they flew off.

"The Cat Hotel" By Bethany Johnson of Cottonwood

This is the Cat Hotel. The cats can swim out in the sun. The cats jump on the bed. And when they are done, they watch T.V. Then they fall asleep.

When they wake up, they go to breakfast. They get dressed and they brush their teeth. Then they fly home on the jet. The end.
