    Anderson City Council incumbent Phil Burnett's suggestion for balancing the city's budget - by firing the city manager - is drawing some sharp criticism from his election opponents.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;

 Burnett, a councilor for seven years, said Friday that he knows it's &amp;quot;a wild idea&amp;quot; to suggest the council consider eliminating City Manager Scott Morgan's job to save about $150,000 a year.
